Christian Redl (actor)
Christian Redl (born April 20, 1948 in Schleswig ) is a German actor and musician .
Life
Christian Redl is the son of a teacher. He grew up in Kassel , was trained at the drama school in Bochum from 1967 to 1970 and then worked at theaters in Wuppertal , Frankfurt , Bremen and Hamburg , where he a. a. worked with Claus Peymann , Luc Bondy and Peter Zadek . In 1986 he played his first major role in a cinema production: Sierra Leone by Uwe Schrader . He became known in the late 1980s and early 1990s through films by Bernd Schadewald , especially through the lead role in the television production Der Hammermörder , for which he was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize , and through Angst , for which he was a Telestar - Nomination received.
In addition to the theater, there were then other television productions, whereby the work with Matti Geschonneck had a special place: The Rose Murderer , A Murderous Plan and Late Vengeance . Two other cinema productions were Lea by Ivan Fíla and Das Trio by Hermine Huntgeburth . In the Hitler film Der Untergang he played Colonel General Alfred Jodl . He also played cryptic characters in the German cinema production Tattoo by Robert Schwentke and in a film in the ZDF police film series Nachtschicht ( Night Shift - Father's Day ) by Lars Becker . Redl can be seen regularly in cinema and television productions, in particular in television crime novels such as the ZDF series KDD - Kriminalfamiliedienst and in international cinema productions such as Krabat by Marco Kreuzpaintner and Die Päpstin by Sönke Wortmann . At the Hamburger Kammerspiele he played in Art and Der Totmacher , and at the St. Pauli Theater in the Threepenny Opera , in Sonny Boys and in Arsenic and Lace . In spring 2009 he starred in Tod in der Eifel , a television film by Johannes Grieser, and in Der Tote im Spreewald . Since 2006, Redl has played the taciturn, solitary inspector Thorsten Krüger in the Spreewald ZDF crime series Spreewaldkrimi , the consequences of which are sporadically filmed. In 2013 he received the German Academy for Television's award for best supporting actor for his role in Marie Brand and the outstanding bill .
He also works as an audio book speaker and musician .
Christian Redl was in a relationship with his colleague Maja Maranow for several years . He is the stepbrother of the actor Wolf Redl .
