Felix Thijssen (* 1933 in Rijswijk , South Holland) is a Dutch writer and screenwriter .

Life

Felix Thijssen has lived and worked with his wife Mylene in the old templar castle La Garde in the French Cevennes for years .

Act

Thijssen is the author of a total of more than 80 books in the fields of non-fiction, specialist literature and fiction, including many science fiction and crime novels. His numerous works for film and television include the anti-war film "Field of Honor" (German: "Field of Honor") and the crime series "Bureau Kruislan" (German re-filmed as "Die Wache"). The first ten episodes of his Max Winter crime series have also appeared in German so far.

Awards

For the first part, “Cleopatra”, his Max Winter crime series, the author was awarded the “ Gouden Strop ”, the golden rope, in his home country in 1999, the highest award given in the Netherlands for this genre. He was nominated for this award two more times, most recently in June 2006. The Belgian-Flemish Genootschap van Vlaamse Misdaadauteurs made him the winner of the renowned Antwerp thriller award “De Diamanten Kogel” (diamond ball) for his novel “Het diepe water “ (German: Finstere Wasser. Grafit, Dortmund 2007).
