Maud Tabachnik (born November 12, 1938 in Paris ) is a French osteopath and writer . She lives in Paris and writes crime novels full-time .

Life

Nothing is known about Tabachnik's childhood. She first studied economics, but then decided on physiotherapy . In 1963 she specialized in osteopathy. In 1980 she got sick and had an operation and had to give up her job. This is how she came up with writing and entered the male-dominated crime novel genre. In the meantime she has expanded her repertoire, for example the novel La Mémoire du bourreau (2001) plays with the memoirs of an SS officer and J'ai regardé le diable en face deals with the feminicide of Ciudad Juárez .
