Jürgen Bretzinger

Jürgen Bretzinger (* 1954 in Ravensburg ) is a German film director , film producer and screenwriter .

Life

Bretzinger attended the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Ravensburg and studied theater studies from 1976 to 1980 at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). From 1980 to 1984 he worked as a freelance cameraman and documentary film director. From 1985 to 1988 he was a lecturer and lecturer at the HFF. He has been a director and writer of television films since 1988. He led u. a. Directed television series such as Polizeiruf 110 , Tatort and Marienhof and was the director and screenwriter of the movie Shadows of the Desert (1989).

Bretzinger has been married to screenwriter Dorothee Schön since 1988 and has two children. He has been living in his hometown of Ravensburg again since 1998, and has been a member of the Green Group on the Ravensburg municipal council since 2002 .

Prices

For the television film Fremde, liebe Fremde he received the Bavarian Television Prize in 1992 , while the leading actresses Meret Becker and Katharina Brauren were honored with the Adolf Grimme Prize in silver and the cameraman Kay Gauditz with the television film prize of the German Academy of Performing Arts .
