Reiner Winterschladen (born July 30, 1956 in Bergisch Gladbach ) is a German jazz trumpeter.
Live and act
Winterschladen has been a professional musician since 1979. He worked in rock ( Westernhagen , The Element Project ), funk , and electro productions ( Trance Groove , Nighthawks ) and on film scores . In various works with colleagues such as Dieter Manderscheid , Radu Malfatti , Achim Krämer , Tony Oxley , Pee Wee Ellis , Ekkehard Jost , Ali Haurand as well as in Klaus Königs Pinguin Liquid and the line-ups of the Klaus König Orchestra , in the Theo Jörgensmann Quartet and in the groups nuBox (blue box) and Indigo string quartet by Alois Kott has Winterschladen established itself as a leading figure of his instrument in Germany in the 1980s. Since 1987 he has played (with Norbert Stein's Pata Orchestra) alone with six different bands at the Moers Festival , most recently in 2004 with the NDR Big Band , of which he was a member from 1995 to the end of 2017.
For his work in the band Blue Box (now nuBox ), Winterschladen received the 1985 Culture Prize of the City of Düsseldorf .
