Peter Striebeck
Peter Striebeck (born March 15, 1938 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German actor .
biography
Peter Striebeck, son of the actors Karl Striebeck and Mathilde Zedler and brother of Jochen Striebeck , graduated from high school with Eduard Marks from 1958 to 1960 in the acting class at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg. He made his debut in 1960 at the Ulm Theater , from 1961 to 1964 he worked with Willy Maertens at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg and from 1964 to 1968 he was part of the ensemble of the Burgtheater in Vienna. After that he played again mainly at the Thalia Theater, where he was the director of Boy Gobert from 1980 to 1985. He appeared as "Hamlet", "Macbeth" (directed by Dieter Wedel), "Woyzeck" and in many other roles. He has also directed on stages in Wuppertal, Frankfurt and Munich.
In the 1980s and 1990s he often played in Tatort episodes and in various programs and series. His best-known role was that of Bruno Küssling in Dieter Wedel's three-parter Wilder Westen inclusive , where he played the role of the stubborn family father who always knows everything better and experiences a failure every time. In autumn 2006 Striebeck was seen in The Downfall of the Pamir on television and in 2014 he played the leading role in a TV documentary about Otto von Bismarck's last years .
In 1965 he married the castle actress Ulla Purr. Striebeck is the father of two daughters, Catrin and Janna , both of whom are also actresses. Since 1976 he has been a lecturer at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . Peter Striebeck has been a member since 1981 and has been Vice President of the Free Academy of the Arts Hamburg since 1997 .
On March 12, 2011, Striebeck and his wife were injured in a traffic accident in Hamburg when their vehicle was hit by a vehicle that was driving over the traffic lights. In the accident, the actor Dietmar Mues and his wife Sibylle, the social scientist Günter Amendt and the sculptor Angela Kurrer - stepmother of the actor Dominic Raacke died .
