This was followed by guest appearances at the Stadttheater Basel , at the stages of the city of Bonn (1962) and engagements in Heidelberg (1962/63) and at the Wiesbaden State Theater (1963 to 1966).
From 1966 to 1973 he was engaged at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel in Munich and since 1973 he has been part of the ensemble of the Münchner Kammerspiele . 1997 to 1999 he was artistic director of the Jagsthausen Castle Festival . In addition to his stage work, he worked in numerous film, television, dubbing and radio productions. He is the dubbing voice of Donald Sutherland and Philippe Noiret . He also dubbed Smirre the fox in The Wonderful Journey of Little Nils Holgersson with the Wild Geese in 1980 and the Sheriff in the 2006 film Cars . In Gran Torino , Striebeck takes over the synchronization of Clint Eastwood for the first time . This replacement was necessary because Joachim Höppner , himself the successor to Eastwood's longstanding standard voice, Klaus Kindler , suddenly succumbed to a heart attack in 2006 . Also from Joachim Höppner, he took over the audiobook readings of the Commissario Brunetti novels by Donna Leon .
