Iron Will is an American adventure film directed by Charles Haid . It was released in 1994.

Will Stoneman's father dies in a sleigh accident in front of his son. With the family in need of money, Will entered a dog sled race in Canada in 1917 . There is a prize money of $ 10,000, with which he could leave the family farm in South Dakota to his mother.
But some difficulties arise, as the organizer J. W. Harper does not want Will to take part at first because Will is too young (17 years old) and too inexperienced. Journalist Harry Kingsley helps Will with reporting on the boy's participation. In addition, Will has to deal with his father's lead dog "Gas", like the others an Alaskan Husky , and conquer the toughest competitor in the race, the Swede Guillarson.
