August Schellenberg

August Werner Schellenberg (born July 25, 1936 in Montreal , † August 15, 2013 in Dallas , Texas ) was a Canadian actor .

Life

August Schellenberg was the son of an English - Mohawk woman and a Swiss. Schellenberg lived in Montreal until 1967, then in Toronto until 1995 . He was married to Joan Karasevich and had three daughters.

Schellenberg played in several movies and plays. Probably his most famous films are the three parts of Free Willy , where he starred alongside Jason James Richter . In total, he was seen in more than 90 film and television productions from 1970.

In 1986 he won a Gemini Award for The Prodigal and in 1991 a Genie Award for the role of Chomina in Black Robe - On the Iroquois River .

August Schellenberg died of complications from cancer.
