Kunsthaus Erfurt
The Kunsthaus Erfurt is a house for contemporary art at Michaelisstraße 34 in the old town of Erfurt . It is managed by Monique Förster and houses gallery rooms on four floors, with the curatorial assistance of the Berlin exhibition organizer Dirk Teschner , studios and offices. It was founded by the women of the artist group Exterra XX .
The Kunsthaus Erfurt has dedicated itself to contemporary art since it was founded in 1990 . Since then, around 160 exhibitions with 400 artists from Germany and abroad have taken place. Club 500 was founded in the course of an exhibition in September 2008 . In 2009 the Kunsthaus organized the exhibitions "Kunstlawine", "Below the line" and the ARMELLA SHOW , a fair of 15 galleries from 9 cities, in the vacant old interior ministry .
Among others, works by: Jim Avignon , Stephan Balkenhol , Suse Bauer , Jan Brokof , DAG , Ursula Döbereiner , Yingmei Duan , Anke Feuchtenberger , Jürgen Grewe , Jana Gunstheimer , Marc Jung , Dirk Krecker , Marcel Krummrich , Laibach , have been shown at the Kunsthaus , Verena Landau , Boris Mikhailov , Bruce Nauman , Jirka Pfahl , Martin Pfeifle , Andrea Pichl , michaL. schmidt , Stefanie Seufert , Ute Weiss-Leder and Carsten Weitzmann .
