Verena Landau

Verena Landau (born December 26, 1965 in Düsseldorf ) is a German painter.

After graduating from high school and training as a bookbinder, she moved to Florence in 1989, where she attended an American school for historical painting techniques. She then completed her studies in painting and graphics at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences and Arts . a. with Arno Rink and Neo Rauch . Since graduating in 1999 she has been working as a freelance artist in Leipzig. In addition to numerous exhibition projects, since 2002 she has been the artistic director of intercultural exchange projects in France, Lithuania and Israel.

In 2003 she received a grant from the Sparkassen-Kulturstiftung Hessen-Thüringen for a stay in the artist village of Willingshausen in Northern Hesse.

Verena Landau has been an artistic assistant at the Institute for Art Education at the University of Leipzig since 2008 . She has also been teaching a summer course at the Reichenhall Art Academy since 2015.

Exhibitions

Participation in numerous other exhibitions in Leipzig, Zwickau, Gera, Erfurt, Landau (Palatinate), Düsseldorf, Essen, Posen, Warsaw, Timișoara (Romania), New York City.
