Jan Brokof
Jan Brokof (* 1977 in Schwedt / Oder ) is a German artist who primarily deals with woodcuts, sculptures and collages .
Brokof studied from 1999 to 2004 at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden , from 2004 to 2006 he was a master student under Ralf Kerbach . In his works Brokof deals with the contemporary urban way of life. One of his most prominent works is the replica of a youth room in an East German prefabricated building, the interior of which he reproduced with woodcuts.
In 2011 Jan Brokof's works will be shown in solo exhibitions at the Folkwang Museum in Essen and the Leonhardi Museum in Dresden . Moreover designed Brokof the stage for the new production of We prodigies of Kurt Hoffmann .
