Anke Feuchtenberger

Anke Feuchtenberger (born in 1963 in East Berlin ) is a German comic book artist and illustrator . She has worked several times according to scenarios by the writer Katrin de Vries and, in addition to books, has also contributed to newspapers, magazines and anthologies. Her work includes paintings, drawings, comics, posters, prints, costumes and puppets.

Life

Feuchtenberger was born in East Berlin in 1963. From 1983 to 1988 she studied at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art and graduated with a diploma. Since then she has been working as a freelancer, initially in Berlin and since 1997 in Hamburg, where she teaches as part of a professorship at the University of Applied Sciences . Anke Feuchtenberger has a son and lives with the Italian artist Stefano Ricci, with whom she ran Mami Verlag from 2008 to 2015 . She published several books by young artists such as Gosia Machon, Birgit Weyhe , Jul Gordon and Marko Turunen.

Feuchtenberger lives and works in Hamburg and Western Pomerania. In the course of her artistic work, Anke Feuchtenberger has dealt with different techniques and materials. She draws primarily with charcoal on canvas and with ink and pencil on paper.

Together with the writer Katrin de Vries, Anke Feuchtenberger developed stories such as Die kleine Dame (1997), Die Hure H (1996), Frau A in der Groß Stadt (2002,) Die Hure H draws her tracks (2003) and Die Hure H throws the glove (2007). Her books have been translated into French, English, Italian, Finnish and Chinese.
