Max and Moritz Prize

The German Comic Prize Max and Moritz was launched on the occasion of the first Erlangen Comic Salon in 1984 . Since then it has been awarded every two years in Erlangen in the historic Markgrafentheater . The name pays homage to the picture story of the same name by Wilhelm Busch . The award for the best German-speaking comic artist is associated with a sum of money. Until 2012 the price was donated by Bulls Press ( Frankfurt am Main ).
