Edition Alfons
Edition Alfons - Verlag für Graphische Literatur is a German publishing house that publishes various specialist magazines and secondary literature on comics and graphic literature. The publisher and publisher is Volker Hamann.
The first publications appeared under the title Comic Reddition from the middle to the end of the 1980s, but still in a limited edition, and were published and distributed in Northern Germany by Andreas Wiedemann, Heiko Hähnsen and Volker Hamann. Regular participation in the Erlangen Comic Salon from 1985 (and thus from the second of this now internationally highly regarded comic show), but also the contact to Andreas C. Knigge from Carlsen Verlag (an important pioneer of comic reception in Germany) and the Close connection to the Graphic Literature Office (ARGL) at the University of Hamburg, which was founded in the early 1990s, and its founding members (including the Germanists Ole Frahm , Michael Hein and the Germanist and illustrator Jens R. Nielsen ) expanded the network and the associated expertise and led to an increasing professionalization of the publishing house, which was accompanied by changes in the staff of the publishing house.

In 1991 the Comic Reddition was renamed Reddition - Zeitschrift für Graphische Literatur , which now appears twice a year across Germany. Other specialist magazines in Edition Alfons are Alfonz - the comic reporter , the annual comic report and the Camp magazine . In addition, the renowned publisher participates in special exhibitions and prominent events of the Ninth Art .
