Roland Hüve

Roland Hüve (born April 2, 1962 in Dortmund ) is a German theater director and author .

Hüve studied German , Romance languages and theater studies in Cologne and Paris . During his studies he worked as an assistant director in the radio play department of the WDR in Cologne and founded the independent theater group Theater Euskirchen in 1985. In 1992 and 1993 he was employed as an assistant director in the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (children's and youth theater), where the first professional productions were subsequently created.

Since 1994, Hüve has worked as a director on numerous German theaters and theaters, including in Düsseldorf, Göttingen, Frankfurt, Osnabrück, Wilhelmshaven, Bielefeld, Krefeld, Cologne, Annaberg-Buchholz, Augsburg and Tübingen. From 2005 to 2007 he was senior director at the Augsburg Theater . He also works as a dialogue director for film dubbing .

Hüve is the author and editor of plays, children's books, comics (in collaboration with Reinhard Kleist ) and German dubbed versions of numerous foreign film and TV productions. He lives in Cologne.
