Jim Borgman
James Mark Borgman (born February 24, 1954 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American comic artist and cartoonist .
Borgman began drawing political caricatures as early as college . From 1980 his drawings were then distributed by the King Features Syndicate . In 1991 he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Caricature . From 1994 to 1996 he drew the surreal political comic strip Wonk City for The Washington Post . Since 1997 he has been the draftsman of Zits . The idea for this came from comic author Jerry Scott , who also provides the lyrics. The series became a worldwide success and was translated into 8 languages.
