Isabel Kreitz (2008)

Isabel Kreitz (* 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German comic artist who has received several awards.

Life

After attending the art school in Hamburg, she attended the Parssons School in New York . After six months she returned home and started taking the daily newspaper trips Ottifanten and Hot and Fatty .

In 2005 and 2006 she was a lecturer at the Erlangen comic seminar .

Awards

• 1997: 1st German comic award for best German-speaking comic artist, Hamburg comic festival
• 2008: Max and Moritz Prize in the category “Best German-language comic publications for children and young people” for May 35th - as a comic , Erlangen Comic Salon
• 2008: Sondermann Prize in the category of self-published comics (national) for the cause with concern
• 2011: the same price in the same category for Haarmann
• 2012: Max and Moritz Prize for best German-speaking artist
• 2019: Wilhelm Busch Prize
