Comic seminar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Franco-German comic book workshop has been held in Erlangen since 1986 . The organizers are the drawing agency Contours and the city of Erlangen's cultural office . The seminar will be led by Paul Derouet , head of the Contours agency .

The seminar takes place annually. The works from both years are exhibited at the comic parlor in Erlangen , which takes place every two years . However, there is the problem in the respective comic salon year that many of the works are not finished, whereas the work from the previous year can still be completed by the participants at home.

A French and a German lecturer also take part in a seminar. In 2006, for example, the comic artist Isabel Kreitz and the French illustrator Mazan were there. In 2005, Isabel Kreitz and Riff Reb’s were the lecturers.

For the comic parlor in 2006, the anniversary volume Déjà-Vu, 20 years of the German-French comic book seminar was published with 15 contributions from the participants of the 2005 seminar, to which the former lecturer Gerald Gorridge contributed a comic and Riff Reb's on the front page.

On June 9, 2007, Paul Derouet received the ICOM Independent Comic Prize from the ICOM eV jury at the Munich comic festival in the form of a “special jury prize for a special achievement or publication”.
