Wöschhalde

The Wöschhalde is a district of the city of Villingen-Schwenningen in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg. The Wöschhalde is located in the northeast of the Villingen district, about 3 km from the city center.

The Wöschhalde extends in north-south direction over about 1100 m and in east-west direction over about 400 m. It is located on a western slope above the Golden Bühl at an altitude of 725  m above sea level. NN in the southwest and 760  m above sea level. NN in the northeast.

The district was founded in the 1960s and built on exclusively with flat roof buildings in the following years. In the northeast of the Wöschhalde is the street of the same name, in which there are mainly multi-storey apartment buildings. There are row houses and bungalows in the streets to the west.

At the end of the 1980s it was decided to develop the area south of what was then Wöschhalde. Today there is a residential area with many single-family houses and some smaller apartment buildings. In contrast to those in the older part of the Wöschhalde, the streets are curvy. Some of them are designated as play streets .

North of the Wöschhalde at 48 ° 5 '16 "north latitude and 8 ° 28' 11" east longitude is an 83-meter-high Deutsche Telekom telecommunications tower .
