Edition Art of Comics
Edition Kunst der Comics was a German comic book publisher that existed from 1988 to 2000.
The publishing house was founded in 1988 by Alpha-Comic Publishing Director Achim Schnurrer together with Ilse Achatz and Hörb Schröppel in Heroldsbach ( Upper Franconia ). Compared to Alpha, smaller editions and special formats should be promoted here, and there were also individual albums, artistic and / or erotic works in the program. When the company moved to Sonneberg (Thuringia) in 1993 , problems arose, as the Alpha and Edition publishers were sued. The reason was the suspicion of the dissemination of writings glorifying violence. In 2000 both publishers went bankrupt.
