Paolo Bacilieri or Baciliero (born February 23, 1965 near Verona ) is an Italian comic artist .

After studying art in Bologna , he became active as a cartoonist in 1982. Encouraged by his role model Milo Manara , who lived a few kilometers from his home village, he soon published in many European magazines such as Blue , Comic Art , Corto Maltese , (à suivre) and L´Écho des Savanes . For the French publisher Casterman he created the gangster story Barokko and the exotic crime thriller Le Tresor des Imbalas (German: Golden Mountains ). He created other works for the Italian publishers R&R Edizioni and Edizioni Phoenix .
