Marvin Clifford (* 1983 in Berlin ) is a German comic artist and author as well as concept artist and illustrator for computer games .

life and work

Marvin Clifford studied graphic design at the BTK Academy for Communication Design . Marvin Clifford became known for the design and co-development of the web comic series Shakes & Fidget and the browser game of the same name .

In addition, Clifford was a lecturer at the Wannseeforum Berlin and the BTK Academy for Communication Design for the comic / cartoon and storyboard department. Since 2012 he has published some of his projects on his website. Among other things, he publishes a weekly, autobiographical insight into his everyday life with the webcomic Schisslaweng and received the renowned Max and Moritz Prize in the audience category at the Erlangen Comic Salon in 2014 . In summer 2015 Schisslaweng was awarded the Golden Garden Gnome of the Leipzig Comic Garden as the best comic of 2015. Since the end of 2015, Clifford has been publishing the comic Mittenmang for the Berliner Tagesspiegel , which appears monthly in the Sunday edition, and the fan comic Wood League Warriors on behalf of Riot Games , which revolves around the online game League of Legends . Marvin Clifford also worked on the character design of the adventure game The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 .

Clifford works in a studio community with the comic artist Flix , who also appears occasionally in his comics, always portrayed as a larger than life mentor.
