St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken was a television series that was produced by Studio Hamburg from 1979 to 1982 and was broadcast on the regional evening program of ARD . The first broadcast took place on November 9, 1979 in the NDR regional program of the ARD.

The series with local color tells of the life and everyday life of the people who live in the Hamburg district of St. Pauli and work on the jetties and the port . The individual episodes are each self-contained. Inge Meysel played the central role in the series , played by the flower seller Gretchen Ebelmann. Her sister Lenchen Ebelmann, played by Eva Maria Bauer , also appeared in several episodes.
Each episode was introduced by an off text, spoken by Rolf Becker , in the opening credits.

DVD release
The series was published in full in two DVD boxes with four DVDs each in 2009 and 2010. The DVD boxes each have a running time of 750 minutes and are approved as FSK 6 . Another box with eight DVDs containing all 60 episodes was released on January 12, 2018 by the Pidax company.
