Ferdinand Dux (born February 21, 1920 in Thale ; † October 23, 2009 in Bremerhaven ) was a German actor .

biography

Dux began his artistic career after 1945 as a stage actor. He received theater engagements in Schwerin , Magdeburg , Karlsruhe , Flensburg , Bremerhaven (here he appeared in 1969 together with Ilse Werner as King of Siam in The King and I ) and Essen .

Since the mid-1960s, Dux also increasingly took on roles in film and television. He starred in literary adaptations such as Max Frisch's Chinese Wall and the multi-part Jauche und Levkojen based on Christine Brückner , in numerous television films such as the comedy Sailing Makes You Free (with Evelyn Hamann ), in the drama Guppies for Tea (with Inge Meysel ) and the love film Eine special Love after Rosamunde Pilcher .
