from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Die Funk-Füchse is the title of a series of young people's books published by Pelikan AG between 1981 and 1984 . The series is about four children - Bömmel, Meikel, Claudia and Bohne - who solve criminal cases with the help of two-way radios and repeatedly end up in dangerous situations. The author of the books is Franz Kurowski under the pseudonym Rüdiger Greif.

More popular than the original book is by the label of Europe published radio plays editing by Astrid Nicolai . The radio play series was directed by Heikedine Körting , the music was written by Carsten Bohn under the collective pseudonym Phil Moss .

The main characters

(The quotations in quotation marks are taken from the brief descriptions of the characters on the first pages of each volume in the series.)

  • Jochen Jeitz , called Bömmel (spoken by Marek Harloff in the radio play )
Bömmel is a little short, but a great buddy. "Under his redhead, [he] hides something like peasant cunning , which often proves to be helpful." Bömmel is the most experienced radio operator of the four friends; he got his enthusiasm for CB radio from his father. Bömmel is in the same class as Claudia.
  • Michael Dummer , called Meikel (spoken by Michael Deffert in the radio play )
Meikel was infected with the "CB radio bacillus" by Bömmel. His other interests include mathematics , physics and - not mentioned in the radio plays - explosives science . "Meikel is the leader, the head that does the thinking". He's in the same class as Bohne.
  • Claudia Becker , called Delphin (spoken by Alexandra Doerk in the radio play )
Claudia wants to be a zookeeper one day; their academic strength is biology. She got her nickname because of her love for animals and her swimming skills. “Of the three friends she likes Meikel best, which is why she shows him the least.” Claudia is Bohnes younger sister.
  • Dieter Becker , called Bohne (spoken by Fabian Harloff in the radio play )
At 1.84 m, Bohne is the tallest of the four radio foxes. He is the best runner in his school, but otherwise not particularly taken with it, although he could be good "if he only wanted to". "But when it comes to knocking one out of the group, [he] is there and his judo tricks are well known."
  • Father Jeitz , called Old Man (spoken by Wolfgang Draeger in the radio play )
Wilhelm Jeitz is Bömmel's father. Since the early death of his wife, in addition to his work (he works as a mechanic for a large oil company), he has had to raise his son Bömmel alone, which seems to be working very well. In the later volumes in particular, Old Man takes an increasingly active part in the “felling” of his offspring and his friends.
  • Kemal Jürtigür (spoken by Andreas Fröhlich in the radio play )
Kemal is the Turkish friend of the four radio foxes who once freed him from a bad suspicion (episode 6 Kemal's last chance ). Since then he has been part of their actions again and again and soon established himself as the “fifth radio fox”. Kemal lives with his family in a high-rise building on the edge of the parrot settlement , in which the houses of the families of the radio foxes are.
