Fickende Fisch is a German film by the director Almut Getto from 2002.
action
The two youngsters Nina and Jan meet twice. At the first meeting, she accidentally hits him on inline skates , injuring him and being picked up by the ambulance . But Jan is very worried about Nina, because he is HIV- positive after a blood transfusion with contaminated blood . While she lives in a desolate family, Jan is almost wrapped in cotton wool by his rather conservative parents. Both are looking for a break from life and after their first meeting everyone believes they have found the right partner. By chance, the two of them meet a second time shortly afterwards, and the love between them develops slowly and then suddenly. Together they can break out of reality, but Jan doesn't dare to discuss his illness with her. Shortly before the first sexual intercourse , Jan backs down for fear of infecting her. Since Nina thinks he doesn't love her, and because Jan reacts harshly, they both lose sight of each other at first. But Jan can't forget Nina, they find each other again and after a fight with a naughty admirer Nina finally finds out about his illness. Nina is shocked. Shortly afterwards, Nina learns that there was a death in Jan's family. Believing that he himself has died, she goes to the crematorium . There they meet again. They know that they love each other and want to stay together, even if it seems impossible. Together with the ashes of their deceased grandfather, they set off on their last journey in a car.
criticism
Fucking fish was very well received by the critics and received the rating “particularly valuable” in the German film and media rating , especially because it addresses the difficulties of a young love in combination with an HIV infection.
"A grown-up look at the youthful attitude to life that takes its characters seriously, does not betray them to clichés and cheap showmanship."
