Ellen ten Damme
Ellen ten Damme (born October 7, 1967 in Warnsveld ) is a Dutch actress , musician and singer .
Life
Ellen ten Damme grew up in Roden , a municipality in the province of Drenthe . She attended the Atheneum, studied Dutch literature for a few years at the University of Groningen and finally graduated from the Academie voor Kleinkunst in Amsterdam.
She made her film debut in 1991 in the short film De Tranen van Maria Machita by Paul Ruven . For this role she was nominated for the Dutch film award Golden Calf in the same year . She then appeared in numerous Dutch and German television series and films, such as Pleidooi , Costa! and Wilder Westerwald . In the television film The Shine of the Stars (2007) she played the mother of a terminally ill disabled boy.
As a singer, Ten Damme appears as a solo artist and together with the band Soviet Sex . With the single Vegas she achieved a chart success in the Netherlands. In 2005 Ten Damme took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with the title Plattgeliebe composed by Udo Lindenberg . In 2008 she appeared as a singer on the Udo Lindenberg “Stark-wie-Zwei” tour. She also sang in various programs with Konrad Koselleck's big band , most recently in The Concert to End All Wars .
In 2010 she was a model for the lingerie and underwear manufacturer Mey .
Ellen ten Damme was married to the actor Markus Knüfken .
