Markus Knüfken (born August 18, 1965 in Essen ) is a German actor .

Life

Markus Knüfken grew up in Essen. Knüfken graduated from high school in Essen-Kettwig in 1985 and then moved to Munich to do his community service . In 1987 he worked for six months in the parcel post office in Munich to finance a six-month trip to Australia.

In April 1988 he came back from Australia. He made the taxi license and worked as a permanent statistic at Bavaria Film for the ARD series Rote Erde . In the summer of 1990 he began his training as an actor at the drama school in Munich .

After three years, he completed his training. He started out with the Herford City Theater in February 1994 . Before that, however, he had already made his first television productions. Knüfken played his first major role in November / December 1993 as a right-wing radical skinhead in the Polizeiruf-110 episode Saturday when there is war, directed by Roland Suso Richter . Leading roles in crime series such as Tatort and Notruf Hafenkante followed .

In 1995 Markus Knüfken established himself with the lead role of Eddie Velten in the series On Axis . Since then he has acted in many television films, series and cinema productions. Knüfken names Bang Boom Bang and Doppelpack as his personal favorite projects . Other well-known productions in which Knüfken participated were, among others, The strange behavior of sexually mature city dwellers during the mating season and Knockin 'on Heaven's Door .

Markus Knüfken was married to the Dutch actress Ellen ten Damme . He has lived in Hamburg since 2003 and is married to Andrea Lion , with whom he has a child and a stepdaughter.
