Uwe Rohde (born December 8, 1958 in Gladbeck ) is a German actor , singer and cycling official .

Uwe Rohde comes from North Rhine-Westphalia . Born in the northern Ruhr area as the son of a miner , he grew up with two older brothers and a sister in Wuppertal . The actor Armin Rohde is one of his brothers.

In addition to classical vocal training for opera in the bass vocal subject , Uwe Rohde completed an acting training at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen and training as a clown under the guidance of Pierre Byland . Rohde had engagements as a singer at the Stadttheater Pforzheim and the Staatstheater Stuttgart . During his time in Stuttgart, where he was engaged for several seasons, he sang in the Bayreuth Festival choir for two years .

Since the early 1990s, Uwe Rohde has been in front of the camera regularly for cinema and television productions. He has now worked in over 100 film and television productions. For the cinema he worked under the direction of Hermine Huntgeburth , Helmut Dietl , Oliver Hirschbiegel , Angelo Colagrossi , Heinrich Breloer , Lars Jessen and Fatih Akin, among others .

Rohde gained nationwide fame in the role of village policeman Peter in the NDR television series Neues aus Büttenwarder , in which he has been seen since 2004. In the last 7 episodes of the RTL crime series Balko , Rohde took on the role of chief investigator Balko as Kriminalrat Holtmann in 2005. Rohde played leading and supporting roles in crime series such as Tatort , Polizeiruf 110 , Bella Block and Wilsberg . He also had several roles in various " SOKO " formats on ZDF. ZDF also cast Rohde for his "Herzkino " film series, where he was able to show his comedic talent as the bride's father at the side of Heike Trinker and as a long-term camper in love with Anja Karmanski in two Inga Lindström films.

In the television film Fischer sucht Frau , which premiered at the Hamburg Film Festival in autumn 2018 and was first broadcast on Das Erste in October 2019 , Rohde, alongside Sebastian Fräsdorf , played as a passionate fisherman and "bad-tempered" father Fred, in need of care Leading roles.

He has been on the jury of the Hagen film festival Eat My Shorts since 2013 . Rohde, who lived in Bochum for a long time , has now been living near Büsum in the Dithmarschen district in Schleswig-Holstein for many years .

Cycling

In his youth, Rohde was an active cyclist . In later years, apart from a few races for everyone , he started in cycling marathons such as Paris – Brest – Paris and London – Edinburgh – London, as well as at Audax rides.

Since 2015 he has been a member of the executive committee of the Schleswig-Holstein Cycling Association . In 2016 he gave the starting signal for the Bremen six-day race and was then named the race's “ambassador”. In April 2019 he succeeded Marcel Wüst as the new Vice President of the Association of German Cyclists for Marketing and Communication.
