Dr. Claudia Harding is a scientist at the Maritime Institute in Hamburg and, based on years of research, found the location of a sunken ship with a precious emerald. She travels to Grenada and meets the charismatic skipper Richard "Rick" Bertold. Although he has a doctorate, he now prefers to live as an adventurer and treasure hunter. Together with the crew of the salvage ship, they set out to find the ship. But Claudia quickly realizes that there is a traitor on board.

The film was shot between April 4 and May 8, 2011 in Hamburg and Grenada .
The film was first broadcast on ARD on December 27, 2012 . The premiere reached 4.76 million and 14.9 percent of the total audience as well as 0.79 million and 6.9 percent of the 14 to 49 year old viewers. The film was released on DVD that same day.

"Sunny mood, but flat story"
“As mentioned in detail, the plot has appealing ingredients, which, however, turn out to be a“ light variant ”in the course of the action: the story babbles and the viewer's pulse remains idle for long periods. Be it in a scene in which the leading actress threatens to drown, a duel takes place on the ship, or the restrained love story between Claudia and daredevil Rick, which begins as casually as it ends. All of this leaves the feeling of sitting in a Porsche that is pulling a 2-ton trailer behind it. "
