Max Tidof (born March 18, 1960 in Polch ) is a German actor .

Life

Max Tidof was born in 1960 in the Eifel . He went to Munich in 1979 and started his career there at the studio theater in Fuchsbau with the little prince . Without an acting education, he played all of the planet's inhabitants in the play. After the studio theater and the Kammerspiele in Munich, the drama in Bonn followed with a leading role in battles by Rainald Goetz (director: Günther Gerstner ) and the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin in the role of Roberto Zucko under the direction of Peter Stein in the play of the same name by Bernhard-Marie Koltès .

His television career began with a role in Klaus Emmerich's TV series Red Earth by 1983 . He then played in numerous television films and series. He had his first leading role in the cinema in 1985 as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Slavo Luther's Forget Mozart . For his portrayal of the comedian harmonist Ari Leschnikow he was awarded a special prize at the 1997 Bavarian Film Prize.

Since then he has worked in many series, e.g. B. Tatort , A Case for Two , The Old Man , Inspector Rex , as well as many television films with, z. B. Gambit , Schwarzenberg , The Player , Mocca for the Tiger , Leporella and Red Light .

In 1994/95 he starred for Australian television in three episodes of the series The Feds (Terror, Betrayal, Deadfall). He had his first big public success in the cinema in 1994 with make -up (Federal Film Prize). But Burning Life (Hypo-Förderpreis) a year later was also a great success. One of the many short films he starred in, Surprise! by Veit Helmer . This film was awarded 54 prizes.
