Damien Michael Johnson (born November 18, 1978 in Lisburn ) is a former Northern Irish football player .

Career

The right midfielder began his career at Nottingham Forest before joining the Blackburn Rovers youth team . 1997 Johnson was brought into the first team. He made his debut on September 30, 1997 in the League Cup game against Preston North End . In January 1998 he was loaned to Nottingham Forest. From the 2002/03 season he played for Birmingham City . On February 1, 2010 Johnson signed a two and a half year contract with the second division club Plymouth Argyle .
