Access is a crime series produced and broadcast by Sat.1 in 1998 and 1999 . A special police commission takes on particularly tough cases in Munich .
action
Beate Claudius heads a special police commission in Munich. In addition to her, the team initially consists of Elvis Kogler, Chris Schmitt and the wheelchair-bound “Rolli” Bauer. In the first episode, Chief Inspector Franz Berg does not quite voluntarily join this group. He is the only survivor of a SOKO that was nearly wiped out by a bomb attack. The tasks of the newly founded and later very successful commission include the fight against doping offenses as well as drug and organ trafficking. In addition, the officers are confronted with gang wars, hostage-taking, rape and amok attacks.
background
Access was an attempt by Sat.1 to copy the recipe for success of the RTL series Alarm for Cobra 11 . The attempt failed because of the low audience rating.
