Special commission

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A special commission (also popularly known as Soko or SoKo ) in the police force is a group that is usually set up on an ad hoc basis and is usually called upon to clarify a major crime or a missing person (especially missing children). This is why it differs from the term investigation group.

An investigation group (EG) is always set up as a special organizational structure (BAO) to deal with a criminal police phenomenon. It then receives a number consisting of a number that is consecutive for the year and the current year. The phenomenon is appended in a brief description. For example, the following designation can be chosen for the (here fictitious) third investigation group in 2012 with the background of special thefts from companies: EG 312-Tresor .
