Georg Heinzen

Georg Heinzen (born September 25, 1953 in Düsseldorf ) is a German writer and screenwriter .

Life

After attending a grammar school in Bad Münstereifel, Georg Heinzen completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter . He worked in this profession for several years. Then studied it German and history at the University of Dusseldorf ; he completed his studies with a master's degree . He has been based in Düsseldorf as a freelance writer since 1985 .

Georg Heinzen wrote two volumes of prose together with Uwe Koch and wrote reports and reviews for various newspapers and magazines as well as radio features . After visiting the script workshop at the Munich University of Television , the focus of his work is on the development of television scripts . Heinzen has been a lecturer at the International Film School in Cologne since 2003 .

In 1985 Georg Heinzen received the Literature Prize of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and, together with Uwe Koch, the 1986 Prize for Literature of the State Capital Düsseldorf .

In January 2012 he wrote the follow-up story to the prose volume "On the uselessness of growing up" with the title "On the uselessness of getting older".
