Faust is a television and crime series by ZDF and SRG that was broadcast from April 1994 to August 1997 and was discontinued after only two dozen episodes. As the main actor, Heiner Lauterbach plays a somewhat grumpy and tough, but also understanding and fair Hamburg police detective, who often tries "undercover", that is, as an undercover investigator, to resolve the respective case. In the first six episodes, Commissioner Verena Severin ( Janette Rauch ) and from the seventh episode onwards, Commissioner Ulrike Krüger ( Stephanie Philipp ) is at his side with advice and action .
