Peter Bongartz

Peter Bongartz (born May 22, 1942 in Greifswald ) is a German actor .

Life

Peter Bongartz took private acting lessons in Düsseldorf from 1960 to 1962 and began studying philosophy at the same time. He received his first engagement in 1962 at the Wuppertaler Bühnen . From 1965 to 1967 he was a member of the ensemble of the Städtische Bühnen Köln .

At this time (1966) he also stood in front of television cameras for the first time; Bongartz made his debut in the short-lived series Leitmüller Family , a parody of the science fiction series Raumpatrouille .

After various guest appearances, an engagement as an ensemble member at the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen followed . Peter Bongartz has been working as a freelance actor since 1971 and has also appeared regularly in television films since then. In 1983, his main role as Vic van Allen in the two-part film adaptation of the Patricia Highsmith thriller Deep Water made him famous .

Bongartz also played the role of the ghost hunter John Sinclair in several productions at the Wiesbaden recording studio Braun .
