action

While Harald Oppermann is on a business trip, his wife Birgit lets her lover Siegmar Frick, a business partner of her husband, spend the night in her villa. When they are surprised by a burglar who attacks Birgit Oppermann, they kill him, take away the body and cover up the break-in. An anonymous blackmailer later demands 50,000 DM from Harald Oppermann. He seems to know something about the break-in and wrongly associate Harald Oppermann with it. When the latter wants to ignore the demands, Birgit Oppermann and Frick decide to pay the money themselves, kill Harald and attach the crime to the blackmailer. After the murder, however, they find out that Harald Oppermann himself was the alleged blackmailer. He found out about the secret couple through inconsistencies in the hidden break-in and wanted to test them both in this way. Since Harald Oppermann paid the money back to Frick's account with a corresponding note, Gerber can transfer the two.
