Gig Malzacher
Gig Malzacher (born July 4, 1931 in Oberwihl ; † August 17, 1980 ) was a German actor , voice actor and television producer .
Life
Gig Malzacher started his professional career as a journalist before learning to be an actor at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . He began his career as a cabaret artist, between 1964 and 1966 he played the leading role as Günther Wieland in 42 episodes of the series Der Nachtkurier reports… . This was one of the few works by Malzacher in front of the camera, mainly as a producer for what was then Südwestfunk , including some crime scene episodes.
In addition, Malzacher had been a busy voice actor since the late 1950s. He became popular in particular as the German voice of Larry Hagman in the series Beaubergende Jeannie .
Malzacher died of a heart attack in Austria at the age of 49. He was married to the actress Renate Redetzky-Malzacher and had two sons, of whom Axel (* 1962) also works as an actor and mainly as a voice actor and dialogue director.
Gig Malzacher is not identical to the actor Gunther Malzacher (1929–1995), even if the IMDb film database lists Gig Malzacher as another name of Gunther Malzacher and mixes the two films together.
