content
Vic van Allen is a wealthy introverted bon vivant. He looks after an old, right-hand drive English classic car, breeds snails and listens to classical music from audiophile systems. And he can afford to pursue another hobby as a profession: he prints sophisticated literature in small, hand-made editions in his publishing house. He and his wife have a daughter named Trixie. Generosity, helpfulness and tolerance characterize him. His friends, however, think that he is almost too considerate - at least with regard to his fun-loving wife Melinda. Because it always brings new lovers home. Vic pretends to tolerate this. During a party, however, the situation escalates and Vic drowns one of his rivals - bar pianist Charlie - in the in-house swimming pool. Melinda immediately suspects him. However, the murder cannot be proven. Vic crossed a threshold with the murder, and it doesn't stop at this one murder.
