Julia - An Unusual Woman is a German-Austrian television series. Christiane Hörbiger plays the main role . In Germany , the series was broadcast on Erste and other channels on ARD , and in Austria on ORF . The series was shot in the years 1998-2002 and had a total of five seasons with 13 episodes each.

Short story

The series revolves around the lawyer Dr. Julia Laubach, who dares a private and professional new beginning after a severe blow of fate.

Together with her two grandchildren Wolfgang and Elisabeth, she moves to the small town of Retz in Lower Austria , where she accepts a position as district judge. In the course of her work as a judge, she is confronted with all kinds of conflicts, which often affect her private life.
