Mark Schlichter (born December 15, 1962 in Münster ) is a German director .

Mark Schlichter has so far mainly made films for German television. In addition, he also wrote scripts from time to time or acted as an actor , e.g. B. Silent Night - A Festival of Love by Dani Levy or Cuba Libre by Christian Petzold .

In 2004 he made his cinema debut with Cowgirl . His son David Schlichter is also an actor. The acting brothers Sönke and Wotan Wilke Möhring could often be seen in his films.

In 2014 he shot the first two episodes of the crime series Zorn , which is set in Halle (Saale) . The first part is called anger - death and rain , the second anger - on loving and dying . Christoph Schnee and Jochen A. Freydank directed the subsequent episodes .
