Bernd Tauber (born May 7, 1950 in Göppingen ) is a German film , television and theater actor .

life and career

Bernd Tauber grew up as the youngest child of a Bohemian glass cutter and a Berlin translator in Göppingen. Tauber completed his acting training from 1970 to 1972 at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart . Since his performance was excellent, his intermediate examination was recognized as the final examination. After working briefly at the State Theater in Kassel, he served as 1973 as the first German, who received a six-month scholarship from January, at the Teatr Laboratorium in Jerzy Grotowski in Wroclaw ( Breslau ). Further theater engagements and tours in Germany, Austria and Switzerland followed.

He became known to a wider audience in 1976 as Werner Wild's apprentice baker in Das Brot des Bäckers . In As far as the eye can see (1980) he was involved with his own songs. He celebrated great success in 1981 with his role in the film Das Boot . He also became famous for his role as Benno Zimmermann in the opening episodes (1–156) of the ARD-produced soap opera Lindenstrasse (1985–1988). In the 1754th episode of the series (March 1, 2020) he had a guest appearance as a ghost. Bernd Tauber also stood in front of the camera for numerous other well-known television productions. a. several times in the television series Tatort , Die Kommissarin or Polizeiruf 110 .

In addition to his work as an actor, Tauber participates in radio plays and writes wordplay, cheeky or critical music texts. With Konrad Haas, a former member of the Steinwolke group , he appears in the formation Die Hausmeister , with whom he also produces CDs and goes on tour.
