Martin Gülich

Martin Gülich (born February 10, 1963 in Karlsruhe ) is a German writer .

Life

Martin Gülich studied industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe from 1981 to 1988 . From 1989 to 1996 he worked as a planning and software engineer in southwest Germany. Since 1997 he has been living as a freelance writer in Freiburg im Breisgau . In addition, he works as a freelance editor and manager of writing workshops . From 2000 to 2005 he was head of the Freiburg Literature Office .

Gülich is the author of novels , stories and poems . From 2000 to 2003 he was co-publisher of the literary magazine concepts .

Gülich is a member of the Association of German Writers and the Southwest Literature Forum . He received u. a. 1999 and 2001, a scholarship of the Supporting German writers in Baden-Wuerttemberg, 2003 Thaddeus Troll Prize , 2005 Stadtschreiberramt the city of Rottweil , 2006, a residency program of the monastery Cismar , 2008 the award of the Reinhold-Schneider-Prize , in 2009 a grant from the Künstlerhaus Edenkoben and in 2010 a scholarship from the Heinrich-Heine-Haus of the city of Lüneburg.

The novel-Novella Was nicht belongs to us (2012) is about a relationship search in the midlife crisis. An accountant decides to get out and tour the clubs of the German province with a cabaret partner.
