To cabaret include cabaret , also called " the tenth Muse called" comedy , song , puppetry , mime , poetry slam , impromptu comedy , improvisational theater, recitation (reading), storytelling , juggling , magic , show hypnosis , puppet theater , black theater , street theater , puppet shows , etc. insofar as they can be performed as a solo or a small cast with little or no technical effort at changing venues. A specific kind of cabaret was American Vaudeville at the beginning of the 20th century, from which silent film comedy developed.
