Erik Eriksson (* 1937 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish journalist and crime writer.

Life

Before Erik Eriksson began his career as a journalist and later as a producer for Swedish television , he was an elementary school teacher. Eriksson became famous for his TV report on the Vietnam War . He also wrote numerous reports on the darker side of Swedish society and people living on the fringes of society. The subjects of his reports also find attention in his detective novels. Erik Eriksson has now published around 40 books. These include collections of short stories, books and novels for young people and many detective novels, one of which has already been filmed. On August 20, 2009, Eriksson received the Aniara Prize from Svensk Bibliotheksföreningen for his life's work .
