Xaver Schwarzenberger

Xaver Schwarzenberger (born April 21, 1946 in Vienna ) is an Austrian cameraman and film director .

Life

After his traineeship in 1970, the trained reprogrammer Schwarzenberger initially became a freelance cameraman, mainly for documentary film productions, later also for several television films (including Tatort ). In 1980 Rainer Werner Fassbinder brought him to Munich and shot Berlin Alexanderplatz with him , then Lili Marleen . After returning to Austria, Xaver Schwarzenberger worked primarily as a director.

Xaver Schwarzenberger was married to screenwriter Ulrike Schwarzenberger for 37 years , with whom he produced a number of Austrian television films under an exclusive contract with ORF. The marriage ended in divorce. He has lived with Susanne Porsche since 2007 .
