Claudia Messner (born June 5, 1962 in Vienna , Austria ) is an Austrian theater and film actress .

Life

After graduating from the Lycée Français de Vienne , Claudia Messner, daughter of the dancer and actress Gerti Gordon (1933–2016) and the actor and director Franz Messner (1926–1968), began her career with numerous engagements at theaters such as the Staatstheater Darmstadt , the Wiener Burgtheater and the theater in der Josefstadt . In the 1980s she played her first roles in film and television, including 1985 in Welcome in Vienna , a film set in the post-war period in Vienna, with which she also gained international fame.
