action

The famous concert pianist and hypochondriac George Caspari, guest on board the luxurious four-master Star Clipper , is very worried about symptoms of multiple sclerosis that he has noticed in himself. Fearing the end of his career, he wants to reconcile with his ex-wives Ruth and Vera during the cruise. However, neither of them know anything about his plans, and when they meet during the trip, the waves initially hit high. Some turbulence has to be survived until Ruth and Vera discover their sympathy for each other. With the help of the doctor Vera, Caspari's complaints are diagnosed as the consequences of a tick bite and nothing stands in the way of a harmonious cooperation of the trio.

The widowed master mechanic Axel Kwiatkowski is on the road with his late wife's assignment to get sand from the Sphinx of Giza for her grave in Berlin. However, he falls in love on board with the fun-loving Cornelia and both soon suspect that the deceased who is in the afterlife does not agree with this relationship at all.

Cruise manager Marlene is heavily courted by the wealthy Egyptian Yussuf and accepts his invitation to the palace at home. After her return on board is a long time coming, Captain Jensen decides to free Marlene from the clutches of the Orientals. Soon he is ashamed to find that the cultivated Yussuf had no bad intentions.
